Mark Mitten's 1st folk album, an indie acoustic style finding its roots & inspiration in the jagged high country of Colorado.

Originally published under the artist name "Mark the Vaqueros". A vaquero is another word for cowboy, an older word - in fact, the authentic influence of the American cowboy. The original artist/band name means something like "watch the cowboys." It's a call. A call back to origins, to identity. Far away from concrete & cell phones.

"Adagium" is Latin for "adage." Finding its own place on the Americana horizon - watching, impressionistic, poetic - Adagium is a compendium of adages evoking a landscape both high & untraveled. Melodic. Memorable. Conveyed in baritone & thought, this album will last.
